Who you surround yourself with within the upcoming days and weeks will make all of the difference in the world. You want to surround yourself with like minded positive and inspirational people that will help you get to where you want to be. And you will want to get away from all of the blood sucking vultures that have been attacking you ever since you made it known that you want out. You will want to remove them, wish them well and finally say goodbye forever. Because they have no more room in your house of possibilities.
They better get themselves some other empathetic people to run over, because it won’t be me this time. Or better yet, they should just stick together and stare at one another blankly as they try to figure out why they are all so empty? Maybe its because they took advantage of an innocent person and then proceeded to put her through much unnecessary pain and suffering because they got satisfaction out of it. Think about it. What you guys did would eventually put anybody into complete emptiness. Because that was just uncalled for and malice. You don’t ruin someones life path because you don’t want to face your own. Sorry, it just doesn’t work that way.
Wow, that was a lot of ranting! I clearly just vented and went into the pain and hurt again. But I feel it is coming up again for a reason and instead of erasing it and ignoring it, I am going to leave it there. Because it is real and true and it is necessary for my healing. Each time I let it out like that, I am releasing old wounds and in turn am creating space for new thoughts, feelings and emotions to make their way in. I am creating space for new beginnings and it feels good. So I will leave all of that gibberish there. It belongs in this article.
What this post is supposed to be about is about the people you surround yourself with. Those people should be your friends. And when I say friends I don’t mean the “oh I can get something from you right now” kind. Or the “I want what she has” kind of a friend. I mean the real kind of a friend. The friend that wants the best for you. The one who likes to see you happy. The one that smiles when you smile. The one that cries when you cry. The one who listens. The one who doesn’t judge. The one who will help lift you when you are down. The one who would rather lay there and die with you rather than betray you. The one who would never talk bad about you unless it is to your face. The one who would never use or mistreat you. The one that when you leave their presence you remember why they were always your friend to begin with. They make you feel good and they never make you feel anything less.
Those are the people you need to surround yourself with. And there may not be many. And that is OK. Because good friends like that are very hard to find. So if you find one please take care of them and let them take care of you too. Help each other through the tough times and enjoy all of the ups and downs in between. Because one good friend like that is all you will ever need.
And always remember, “True friends aren’t the ones who make your problems disappear. They’re the ones who won’t disappear when you’re facing problems.”
