Defining Yourself

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan.  And guess what they have planned for you?  Not much.”  ~ Jim Rohn

Defining yourself and designing your own life starts with believing in yourself and by being yourself.  It’s actually quite simple.  Just be you.  Be yourself.  That’s it.  Once you realize you are free of the narcissist in your life and you can just be, it will be the best feeling you’ve felt in a long time.

You also have to let go of all of the negative people and situations, and just learn to let go and flow with life.  And you can only do that by not expecting much, just accepting who you are, good and bad, and just living.  Enjoy life.  Enjoy the struggles.  Enjoy the pain.  And enjoy the pleasures.  Forget about your abusers.  Forget about where they are going or what they did.  Just forget it all and let go of it all.

There are many possibilities waiting for you.  You just have to go out and look for them and create them at the same time.  Do not be afraid and do not be discouraged.  Claim your spot and claim your victory because you took a risk that no one else was willing to take.  And you experienced things that others will never know of and never get a taste of in this lifetime.  But you did.  And they were miraculous experiences that were beyond your imagination.  So embrace those things, focus on those things, learn from them and learn from your enemies and just keep going.  And take a detour from their crazy plan they had for you and get back onto your road of crazy beautiful wild things.  And let them stay on their road.  Wish them well because who knows if they will ever find a way out.  They chose to have it all even at the expense of leaving you behind.  And so those were some selfish ugly things that they will have to deal with.  Not you.

You still have a path of excitement, curiosity, lessons and mistakes to live up to.  So even if you are tired and missed all of those boats waiting by the seaside for you, you still have to jump ship on one of them.  So go ahead, take your pick.  And this time, don’t let them jump in with you and then throw you overboard while they live it out for you.  This time, throw them overboard why don’t you.  Throw them into the murky waters beneath you.  That was the way it was meant to be in the first place.  Cowards and thieves don’t belong on your ship anymore.  Let them get on the ferry boat next to yours.  They can watch you from there.
